A raging cybernetic beast capable of crushing armies has broken free from its prison and rampages across the land. Legion 96, a government sanctioned, anti-vampire paramilitary force, is responsible for the monster’s escape and now must rush to capture it before it causes any lasting damage. Cyrus Blackthorn may be the only one who can confront the creature. Spared death by the efforts of CyberGen, a bioengineering corporation, Cyrus has undergone a series of anatomical changes and is now nearly unkillable. He must lead the Legion to their quarry, all the while watching for the agents of Atropos, a criminal organization made up of living vampires. Additionally, Cyrus has a personal stake in the hunt. The beast was once his brother, Talon.
This is the final book of Dallas Massey's Fall Prey trilogy called The Kill. Cyrus Blackthorn has been allowed to overcome his disease and become a Krisnek, a creature that hunts vampires. His brother Talon was resurrected from death of the same disease, and has become a huge Cyborg that joins with Cyrus to fight the vampires threatening to rule the world. Their younger brother, Asher was not afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy, but like his brothers is fighting the same vampires with a group of soldiers called the Legion. The three brothers and their mother end up in Washington DC battling to save all humanity!
Dallas passed away on December 27, 2022 and his final two books were published by his mother after promising him to keep his legacy alive. His books are representative of his life with his two brothers and mother fighting Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. The vampires and other monsters are the different aspects of the terrible disease that eventually takes Dallas' life, along with his brother Dillon Massey.
